Sofia Hiramatsu
Chief Executive Officer
Sofia is a physician associate, working in general practice since qualifying in 2018. Her roles have included PA lead for the Welbourne PCN in Haringey, as well as undertaking locum work in a variety of primary care settings from walk-in and urgent-care centres, to a number of GP surgeries across London. She is trained in minor surgery and is co-author of ‘Primary Care for Physician Associates’, a widely used textbook by both registered & student PAs across the UK. She started Matrix Education, as someone who had struggled with the PANE herself. All her ideas from the first study app for PA students, to the courses, were all solutions to problems she faced as a PA student herself. Since founding the company in 2018, she has helped over 350 PAs get through the PANE via OSCE tutoring or her OSCE course, which sold out in both 2020 & 2021.
